WelcomeWelcome to Lakeland High School's website! Prairie Pig InformationPrairie Pig is rescheduled for Tuesday, January 24th. The girls' game will begin at 4:15P.M. with the boys' game following at 6:15P.M It’s Prairie Pig Time again!!!! Our theme this year is Prairie Potter and the Hawk Blood Prince. The festivities will kick off beginning with the girls game starting at 5:30. Dress in your Green and Gold and join in the Spirit Competition. We are scored by how many people in our stands are dressed in school colors, so from T-Shirts to shoes, come decked out in Green and Gold. (No Face Paint Please) During the halftime of the girls’ game you will be entertained by Flying Pigs (bean bags) Jand our Hog Calling Contest. Between games, you will enjoy the musical Battle of the Bands Competition. Music performed by both schools will fill the air. Both schools will dazzle you with their athleticism, as our cheerleaders will be competing as well. Both groups have been working very hard so come and support them. Stay for the boys’ game and the competition really heats up. During the halftime of the boys’ game, you will be entertained by Lip Syncs performed by both schools. This year our charitable group is Fresh Start, a warming center located in CDA. We will be presenting our check reflecting the amount of money raised throughout the week after the lip sync. For those of you who have been supporting LHS and PFHS activities and groups by purchasing your Parker Toyota Raffle Ticket, this is the night you have been waiting for. After the lip syncs and check presentations, you will want to get your ticket out and listen to see if yours is the lucky name to be pulled. Stay until the end and see if all our spirit pays off with the announcement of the winner of this year’s Prairie Pig. We Hope To See You There!! Tickets can be purchased by the public starting January 17th at the Lakeland High School Office. Cost is $5.00. ISHAA pass holders need to pick up their ticket at the Lakeland High School Office from January 17th – January 20th (3 pm) No Passes will be honored at the gate. |
